Description

These crispy cheesy kale chips, seasoned with nutritional yeast, are the perfect treat for snack lovers. Easy to make and packed with flavor, they serve as a healthy alternative to traditional chips, making them a go-to for quick snacks or party appetizers.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large bunch curly kale
  • spray oil (avocado, olive, coconut)
  • 23 tablespoons nutritional yeast (plus more to taste if desired)
  • ½ teaspoon salt, or to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F.
  2. Wash and thoroughly dry the kale. Remove the tough stems and tear the leaves into large pieces. Spread the kale evenly across a baking sheet in a single layer.
  3. Lightly spray with oil, then sprinkle with nutritional yeast and salt. Gently toss with your hands to coat evenly.
  4. Bake for 20–25 minutes, tossing halfway through. Keep a close eye during the last few minutes to avoid burning.
  5. Remove from the oven and let sit for 5 minutes for additional crispiness as they cool.

Notes

You can adjust the amount of nutritional yeast for a stronger cheesy flavor.
Ensure the kale is dry before baking for maximum crispness.
Experiment with your favorite seasonings for a customized flavor.
