Description

Treat yourself to Smash Burger Tacos, where savory ground beef meets melted cheese, all wrapped in a warm tortilla. Perfect for a quick and delicious dinner, these tacos are sure to impress with their bold flavors and simple preparation.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • ¼ cup yellow onion (minced)
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper (freshly cracked)
  • 6 small flour tortillas (taco size)
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil
  • 6 slices American cheese
  • ½ cup iceberg lettuce (shredded)
  • ½ cup pickle chips
  • ¼ cup Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  1. Gather all your ingredients.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, minced onion, Worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder, and black pepper. Divide the mixture into 6 equal portions and shape into balls.
  3. Heat oil in a medium skillet over medium heat. Place a tortilla in the skillet, meat side down, and press down with a spatula to cook. Cook for 2-3 minutes until browned and crispy, then flip.
  4. Top the flipped tortilla with a slice of cheese and cook for an additional 2 minutes until the cheese melts.
  5. Repeat the cooking process with the remaining tortillas.
  6. Assemble the tacos by topping each with shredded lettuce, pickle chips, and Thousand Island dressing. Serve and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crunch, consider adding more toppings like diced tomatoes or jalapeños.
Make sure the skillet is hot enough to achieve a crispy texture on the tortillas.
Feel free to swap out the dressing for your favorite sauce.
