Description

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds beef chuck roast, with good marbling
  • 1 dry ranch dressing packet
  • 1 au jus seasoning packet
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 5-6 pepperoncinis


Instructions

  1. Sprinkle the ranch seasoning packet over the top of the beef chuck roast.
  2. Add the au jus packet on top of the ranch seasoning.
  3. Place the unsalted butter on the roast.
  4. Scatter pepperoncinis around the meat.
  5. Cover with the lid and cook on low for 8 hours.
  6. If desired, shred the meat into the sauce after cooking for 7½ hours.

Notes

For added flavor, consider marinating the roast overnight with the seasonings.
Serve with crusty bread or over mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
