Description

Savor the delightful Sizzling Ginger Scallion Sea Bass, featuring tender fish paired with a flavorful ginger garlic sauce. This easy recipe is perfect for a quick dinner or a healthy meal that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¼ cup low sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 teaspoon white miso paste
  • 1 ½-2 pounds sea bass, or cod or fish of choice
  • ⅓ cup avocado oil
  • 2 bunches scallions, chopped finely, whites and greens in separate bowls
  • 1 tablespoon freshly grated ginger
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lime, juiced
  • 1 pound green beans, washed & trimmed
  • 2 cups cooked brown rice
  • Lime Wedges
  • Chili crisp

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray it with cooking spray.
  2. Place the sea bass skin-side down on one end of the prepared baking sheet. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, white miso paste, and honey until well combined.
  3. Brush this glaze evenly over the top of the fish, saving a small amount for the green beans.
  4. Arrange the green beans on the other end of the baking sheet and toss them with the reserved miso-honey glaze, drizzling with a bit of olive oil.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
  6. Meanwhile, prepare the sizzling scallion sauce by heating the avocado oil in a small saucepan over medium-high heat until it begins to bubble.
  7. In a heat-safe bowl, combine the white parts of the scallions, grated ginger, and minced garlic. Once the oil is hot, carefully pour it over the scallion mixture—it will sizzle.
  8. Stir to combine, then add the soy sauce, lime juice, and green parts of the scallions, mixing everything well.
  9. Once the fish is cooked, remove it from the oven.
  10. To serve, start with a base of fluffy brown rice, layer the sea bass and roasted green beans on top, and generously drizzle the sizzling ginger scallion sauce over everything. Finish with lime wedges and chili crisp, if desired.

Notes

Serve immediately for the best flavor and texture.
Feel free to substitute the sea bass with your favorite fish varieties, such as cod or tilapia.
