Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup orange juice
- ¼ cup honey
- 2-3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- ¼ cup soy sauce
- 3-4 salmon filets
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together all ingredients until well combined.
- Pour the marinade over the salmon filets in a Ziploc bag or storage container and marinate for 20 minutes or up to 24 hours, saving the marinade for later.
- Preheat the grill by rubbing it with oiled paper towels and heating it to medium-high.
- For crispy skin, place the salmon skin side down on the grill; otherwise, start with the flesh side down.
- Grill the salmon for 3-5 minutes, then flip and grill for another 3-5 minutes.
- In the meantime, bring the remaining marinade to a boil over high heat for a couple of minutes, then pour it over the cooked salmon.
Notes
Adjust marination time according to your taste preference for stronger flavors.
Ensure the grill is properly preheated for best texture.
You can substitute honey with maple syrup for a different sweetness.
