Description

This Horchata Frappuccino brings a delightful mix of creamy milk, rich espresso, and sweet horchata syrup into a refreshing drink. It’s an easy, flavorful treat perfect for satisfying your coffee cravings at home.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ cup (2 shots) espresso or strongly brewed coffee, cooled
  • ¼ cup horchata syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • ¼ teaspoon xanthan gum (optional for thickening; can substitute with cornstarch, but use a little more)
  • ¾ cup ice
  • whipped cream for topping
  • ground cinnamon for topping
  • 1 ½ cups water, divided
  • ½ cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Combine the milk, espresso or strongly brewed coffee, horchata syrup, xanthan gum (or cornstarch), and ice in a blender.
  2. Blend until the mixture is smooth and frothy.
  3. Pour the frappuccino into a cup.
  4. Top with whipped cream and sprinkle ground cinnamon on top.

Notes

For a thicker frappuccino, keep the xanthan gum or use extra cornstarch.
Feel free to adjust the sweetness by decreasing the sugar in the horchata syrup if desired.
Store any leftover horchata syrup in the fridge for future use.
