Description

Savor the irresistible flavor of homemade grape soda, made with fresh red grapes and blueberries. This refreshing drink requires minimal prep and is a perfect choice for warm days or gatherings, providing a delicious, fizzy treat everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups red grapes
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • juice and zest of 1 lemon
  • sparkling water

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the granulated sugar and lemon zest. Use your fingers to blend the zest into the sugar until no wet clumps remain.
  2. In a small saucepan over medium-low heat, add red grapes, blueberries, lemon juice, and the prepared lemon sugar. Cook for 15-20 minutes, occasionally mashing the fruit until it becomes a thick, wine-colored mash.
  3. Strain the mixture to remove solids and transfer the syrup to the refrigerator, letting it cool to room temperature.
  4. Once the syrup is chilled, pour 2-4 tablespoons into an ice-filled glass and top with sparkling water. Stir and enjoy!

Notes

Feel free to adjust the syrup amount based on your sweetness preference.
For a more intense flavor, let the syrup sit longer in the refrigerator before serving.
Grapes can be substituted with other berries if desired.
