Description

These cinnamon crunch fruit tacos are a delightful combination of crispy wonton shells filled with juicy strawberries and apples. With a burst of cinnamon sugar flavor, they make a perfect treat for any occasion. Quick to prepare and deliciously satisfying, this recipe is a great choice for dessert or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 28-30 wonton or dumpling wrappers (about ½- a package)
  • ½ tbsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • cooking spray
  • ½ lb strawberries hulled and finely diced
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 3 apples
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • juice from ½ a large lemon
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • cooking spray
  • serve with ice cream, whipped cream, sprinkles, caramel sauce, or preferred ice cream toppings

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine ½ tbsp cinnamon and 3 tbsp sugar to create the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  2. For wonton wrappers, cut large circles using a cookie or biscuit cutter. If using round dumpling wrappers, skip this step.
  3. Arrange the wonton wrappers in a single layer, doubling them up if needed.
  4. Turn over a muffin pan and generously spray the bottom with cooking spray. Shape the wonton wrappers into taco shells by placing them between two muffin cups.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F for 5-10 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Monitor closely to prevent burning.

Notes

For a sweeter filling, feel free to add more sugar to the fruit mixture.
These tacos are versatile; you can serve them with your favorite ice cream toppings.
Adjust baking time based on the type of wrappers used.
