Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound lean ground beef
- 1 small onion diced
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon italian seasoning
- 1 ½ teaspoons montreal steak seasoning
- 24 ounce jar spaghetti sauce
- 3 cups beef broth
- 12 ounces spaghetti
- ½ cup milk
- 1 cup shredded cheddar or colby-jack cheese
- optional garnish – minced parsley and grated parmesan
Instructions
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and onion until browned, draining excess grease as needed.
- Season with Montreal steak seasoning, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Stir for a few seconds to coat the meat with the spices. Add the spaghetti sauce and beef broth, stirring well.
- Break the spaghetti into thirds and add it to the sauce, ensuring the pasta is fully submerged.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer uncovered for 12-14 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent clumping.
- Once the pasta is tender, stir in the milk and cheese. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 5 minutes.
- Optional: Garnish with minced parsley and grated parmesan cheese.
Notes
Feel free to adjust the amount of onion or grate it for a smoother texture in the sauce.
For a bit of heat, consider adding red pepper flakes to the meat mixture.
