- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 lb lean ground beef, or ground turkey
- 2 tablespoons taco seasoning
- 10 flour tortillas, taco sized
- 8 oz shredded cheese, i use sharp cheddar
- olive oil spray, or avocado oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F. Cover a large sheet pan with parchment paper and lightly mist with oil.
- In a large skillet, cook the diced onion with the ground beef (or turkey) over medium heat until browned and no longer pink. Drain excess grease if necessary, then add the taco seasoning and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
- Fill each tortilla with about 4 tablespoons of the taco meat and some cheese. Fold each in half and place them on the prepared sheet pan. Continue until all tortillas are filled and mist with olive oil.
- Bake the tacos in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. Flip them carefully, misting with oil again, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until crispy. Serve hot with your favorite toppings.
Notes
Feel free to customize the tacos with your choice of toppings like sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.
For a vegetarian option, substitute the ground meat with plant-based meat or black beans.
Ensure to flip the tacos halfway for a crunchy texture on both sides.
