Description

Oreo Tiramisu combines creamy mascarpone with espresso-soaked Oreos for a delectable dessert. This easy-to-make treat is perfect for gatherings or a cozy evening at home.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 eggs, separated
  • 150 g (¾ cup) granulated sugar
  • 28 g (2 tablespoon) water
  • 454 g (2, 8 oz tubs) mascarpone, cold
  • 150 g (⅔ cup) freshly brewed espresso
  • 40 oreos
  • cocoa powder, for dusting


Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, whisk the egg yolks vigorously until they froth up and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, combine half of the sugar with water and heat over medium while stirring until it reaches 240°F.
  3. Slowly drizzle the hot sugar syrup into the foamy egg yolks while whisking constantly for 1-2 minutes until cooled.
  4. After cooling, mix in the cold mascarpone until well blended. Refrigerate this mixture while preparing the meringue.
  5. In a heatproof bowl, mix egg whites, salt, and the remaining sugar. Place over simmering water, whisking frequently until it hits 120°F.
  6. Remove from heat and beat with an electric mixer on high until stiff peaks form in the egg whites.
  7. Gently fold the meringue into the mascarpone and egg yolk mixture until well combined.

Notes

Ensure the mascarpone is cold for the best texture in your dessert.
Don’t over fold the meringue to keep the dessert light and fluffy.
This tiramisu can be prepared a day in advance to enhance the flavors.
