Description

This No-Bake Easter Dirt Cake Pudding Dessert features layers of creamy vanilla pudding, crushed Oreo cookies, and Cool Whip, making it a delightful treat for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 3 1/2 cups whole milk
  • 2 3.4 ounce packages instant vanilla pudding
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 15 ounces oreo cookies
  • 1/2 cup butter softened (1 stick)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 8 ounces cool whip thawed
  • easter sprinkles or other seasonal sprinkles for garnish, optional


Instructions

  1. Whisk together milk, vanilla extract, and vanilla pudding in a medium bowl and chill in the refrigerator for 10 minutes.
  2. Crush Oreos in a food processor until they resemble potting soil to create the ‘dirt.’
  3. In another bowl, cream together softened butter and room temperature cream cheese until smooth. Add powdered sugar and beat until smooth.
  4. Fold together the pudding mixture with the Cool Whip, then incorporate this into the butter and cream cheese mix.
  5. Layer the pudding mixture and cookie ‘dirt’ in serving dishes, repeating the layers until full.
  6. Refrigerate for 12 hours or overnight.
  7. Add Easter sprinkles on top before serving, if desired.
  8. Serve cold.

Notes

For a richer flavor, refrigerate longer than 12 hours.
Use gluten-free Oreos for a gluten-free version.
