These Jerk Chicken Wings are packed with irresistible flavor and simple to prepare, featuring a zesty marinade that makes them the perfect choice for a quick, delicious dinner.

- 2 green onions roughly chopped
- ½ onion roughly chopped
- 2 scotch bonnet or habanero peppers seeds and ribs removed for less spiciness
- 1 small knob fresh ginger peeled
- 3 garlic cloves
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tbsp ground allspice
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp ground pepper
- ⅓ cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar or any vinegar
- juice of 1 lime
- 3-4 lbs chicken wings
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients except the chicken wings in a food processor or blender and blend until mostly smooth.
- Reserve 1/2 cup of the marinade for later use. Place the chicken wings in a large bag or bowl and pour in the remaining marinade. Toss well to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or up to 8 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange the wings on it. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Remove the wings from the oven and brush with the reserved marinade. Return to the oven and continue baking for an additional 15 minutes or until crispy and browned.
- Garnish with chopped green onion before serving.
Notes
For a spicier kick, leave some seeds in the peppers.
Marinating overnight enhances flavor depth.
These wings can also be grilled for added smokiness.
