Ingredients
Scale
- 2 pounds steak trimmed and cut into 1-inch cubes (sirloin, ribeye, or strip steak work well)
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- avocado oil for cooking
- 4 tablespoons butter 1/2 stick
- 6 garlic cloves very finely minced
- 1 shallot very finely minced
- salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Trim the steak and cut it into 1-inch cubes. Pat dry with paper towels to help create a better sear.
- In a large bowl, toss the steak cubes with sea salt, black pepper, red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and paprika until evenly coated.
- Heat avocado oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak cubes in batches and sear them for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
- Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce the heat to medium and add butter. Once melted, stir in the minced garlic and shallots, cooking until fragrant.
- Return the steak to the skillet and toss to coat in the garlic butter mixture. Garnish with dried parsley and fresh parsley if desired.
