Description

This Funfetti Frosting is a joyful blend of butter, vanilla, and vibrant rainbow sprinkles. Its creamy texture and delightful sweetness make it ideal for cakes and cupcakes, bringing a festive touch to any dessert. A simple, quick recipe that anyone can master.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2½ cups (565g) unsalted butter, room temperature
  • 2 tbsp vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp salt
  • 6-10 cups (681-1135g) powdered sugar
  • 3-6 tbsp milk or heavy cream
  • ½ cup rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Beat the butter, vanilla extract, and salt together on medium speed for about 2 minutes until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  2. Slowly add the powdered sugar while mixing on low speed. Then, pour in 3 tablespoons of milk or cream and mix until smooth. Adjust the sweetness by adding more powdered sugar if needed. If the frosting is too thick, add 2-4 additional tablespoons of milk or cream to reach desired consistency.
  3. Gently fold in the rainbow sprinkles on low speed.

Notes

Ensure the butter is at room temperature for a smoother texture.
Adjust the amount of powdered sugar to meet your desired sweetness level.
Substitute rainbow sprinkles with other types for a different theme.
