Ingredients
Scale
- 12 (2-ounce) frozen italian meatballs
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 12 ounces sliced mozzarella cheese
- 12 kings hawaiian slider rolls
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon kosher salt
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
- Combine the frozen meatballs and marinara sauce in a saucepan and cook over medium high heat for 10-15 minutes until defrosted. If using thawed meatballs, heat for about 5 minutes.
- With a serrated knife, slice the slider rolls in half horizontally, placing the bottoms on the baking sheet.
- Add one meatball to each bottom section and pour any remaining sauce over the meatballs. Top with a slice of mozzarella cheese and cover with the top half of the rolls.
- In a small bowl, mix the butter, garlic powder, salt, and parsley, then microwave for 15-20 seconds until melted.
- Brush the melted butter mixture over the top of the rolls and bake on the lower rack for about 15 minutes until the cheese is melted and the tops are lightly browned. Cut into twelve portions.
Notes
For extra flavor, consider adding fresh basil or spinach on top of the meatballs before adding the cheese.
These sliders are perfect for game day or any casual gatherings. Serve with a side of extra marinara for dipping.
