Description

This Blue Cheese Dressing brings irresistible flavor and simplicity to your salads. With creamy sour cream, tangy blue cheese, and a hint of garlic, it’s perfect for a quick meal or a delicious addition to any dish.

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup (4 ounces) sour cream
  • ¾ cup (3 ounces) crumbled blue cheese, such as gorgonzola dolce
  • ¼ cup buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons thinly sliced chives or green onion (mostly green parts)
  • 1 small clove garlic, pressed or minced
  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt, to taste
  • freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl.
  2. Taste and adjust seasoning with salt and black pepper as desired.
  3. For enhanced flavor, chill the mixture for 30 minutes before serving.
  4. Drizzle over your salad or store in the refrigerator for later.

Notes

For a thicker dressing, use less buttermilk.
Adjust the amount of blue cheese based on your taste preference.
This dressing can be stored in an airtight container for up to 1 week.
