Description

Ants On A Log is a classic snack that combines crunchy celery with creamy peanut butter and sweet raisins. It’s a quick, healthy option that pleases both kids and adults, making it ideal for after-school snacks or a nutritious addition to lunchboxes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 5-6 stalks celery
  • ½ cup peanut butter , or almond butter
  • ¼ cup raisins

Instructions

  1. Wash the celery stalks well and pat them dry.
  2. Cut the celery into 3-4-inch pieces.
  3. Spread peanut butter or almond butter into the hollow center of each celery piece.
  4. Press raisins into the peanut butter along the top of each piece to look like 'ants on a log.'
  5. Arrange on a serving plate and serve right away.

Notes

For a nut-free version, use sunflower seed butter instead of peanut butter.
Feel free to customize the toppings with other dried fruits or seeds.
This snack is best enjoyed fresh, but can be prepared a few hours in advance.
